About this excursion
This day trip combines the countryside of the Lassithi Plateau with the archaeology of Knossos. We start on the plateau with Vidiani Monastery, Lasinthos Eco Park and Krasi Village, then stop at an Olive Oil Mill Farm, where you can have lunch if you like (optional). The day ends with a guided visit to Knossos Palace, the best known archaeological site in Crete and one of the main centres of the Minoan civilisation.

Is the Knossos entrance ticket included?
No. The Knossos Palace entrance ticket is not included and is paid at the site. The Cave of Zeus entrance is also paid on site; the current prices are shown on the booking page.
Is the trip suitable for children?
Yes. Families regularly join this combo. There is walking at the archaeological site on uneven stone surfaces, so closed comfortable shoes are recommended.
How much free time will I have at each stop?
The schedule allows for a guided visit to Knossos and organised free time on the plateau. The exact timing is shared in your confirmation email.
What should I bring?
Hat, sunscreen, water, a light layer for the higher altitude on the plateau and comfortable walking shoes. Please note that the Cave of Zeus is closed on Tuesdays.
