About this excursion
Morning pickup: we start collecting guests from the pickup points in the morning. How long the drive takes depends on where you are staying.
1st stop: Chania (about 2 hours) You have 2 hours of free time in the old town of Chania, in the west of Crete. The buildings here mix Cretan, Venetian, Ottoman and Arabic styles.
Bus drive to Kasteli port: 40 minutes
2nd stop: Kasteli Kasteli is the westernmost town of Crete. The boat to the Gramvousa peninsula and Balos Lagoon leaves from here.
3rd stop: Cruise to Balos Lagoon (5 hours in total) The boat sails along the Gramvousa peninsula, past the fortress, and arrives at Balos Lagoon. You then have 3 hours to swim, walk on the beach and look around. The boat's restaurant and snack bar stay open, so you can buy lunch whenever you like.
4th stop: Kasteli The boat brings you back to the port of Kasteli.
Return to the resorts: we get back on the buses and drive to the hotels where we picked you up. The journey time depends on traffic and on the pickup points.
*Because the drive is long, we make a 20-minute stop each way for restrooms and snacks (snacks not included).
