Booking request process

All bookings on TouristLine start as a request. After you submit, our team reviews availability for your selected excursion, date, pickup area and operating schedule before confirming. Availability for some Crete excursions can change at short notice depending on weather, available capacity and minimum group size, so a request is not an automatic confirmation. Customers are asked to review the confirmation details (excursion, date, language, pickup point and time, guest counts and price) and report any mismatch promptly. Payments and authorisation holds follow the dedicated payment policy, and cancellations follow the cancellation policy.

TouristLine's role (intermediary)

TouristLine operates as a local booking and customer-support intermediary for selected Crete excursions and travel experiences. Excursions may be operated by independent local suppliers, transport providers, boat operators or guides. Unless explicitly stated otherwise before booking, TouristLine does not combine accommodation, transport and other travel services into a package holiday. Each excursion booking is treated as a standalone tourist service or booking request, and the operating supplier is responsible for the safe operation of the excursion. TouristLine remains responsible for its own booking platform, communication, pickup support and customer-support obligations. Supplier terms and operational rules may also apply.

No package travel or linked travel arrangement

TouristLine normally offers individual excursions and travel experiences. We do not sell package travel or linked travel arrangements unless this is clearly stated before booking. If a service is ever offered as a package or linked travel arrangement, the applicable mandatory information and traveller rights will be provided before the booking is completed. This clarification does not remove rights you may have under mandatory consumer law.

Right of withdrawal — dated leisure services

Because excursions, tours, boat trips, transfers and leisure activities are supplied for a specific date or period, the general 14-day distance-selling right of withdrawal does not normally apply once a dated service is booked. Cancellations and refunds are handled according to the applicable cancellation policy, supplier terms and any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your case.

Pickup eligibility and customer responsibility

Hotel pickup is available only from selected areas and pickup points, generally between Sisi and Agia Pelagia along the north coast of Crete. Not every hotel, villa, apartment, private rental or area is eligible for direct pickup. If direct pickup is not available at your accommodation, TouristLine may suggest the nearest supported pickup point or meeting point. Customers are responsible for providing accurate accommodation details, for checking the confirmed pickup point and time in their booking confirmation, and for being at the confirmed pickup point on time. Pickup times may change due to traffic, routing or operational planning. Late arrival or no-show at the pickup point may be treated as a no-show and is non-refundable.

Operational changes, safety and force majeure

Excursion operators may change the order of the programme, adjust timing, substitute stops or cancel an excursion where necessary for safety, weather, sea conditions, traffic, road closures, strikes, force majeure, insufficient participation, availability or other operational reasons. The itinerary order may change without prior notice when justified by such factors. If an excursion is cancelled before operation, TouristLine will assist with rescheduling, an alternative excursion or a refund according to the applicable policy and the payment status of your booking. TouristLine does not promise additional compensation beyond reschedule, alternative or refund where appropriate, and this clause does not remove mandatory consumer rights that may apply.

Customer conduct, health, belongings and prohibited items

Customers must follow the reasonable instructions of guides, escorts, drivers, boat crew and suppliers, particularly regarding safety. Before the excursion, customers should inform TouristLine or the supplier of any serious health, mobility, pregnancy, dietary or accessibility issue that may affect participation, so that suitability can be assessed. Some excursions, hikes, boat trips or long transfer days may not be suitable for all guests. A guide or supplier may, on justified safety grounds, refuse or interrupt participation; this is not used to discriminate unlawfully. Customers are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the excursion. Animals, flammable materials, dangerous goods or illegal substances are not allowed on tours or transport.

Reporting issues and complaints timing

Customers should report any issue as soon as possible during the excursion or immediately after, so it can be addressed on the spot. Formal written complaints should be sent to TouristLine within 3 calendar days after the excursion, so that we can investigate the matter with the relevant operating provider where needed while the details are still fresh. This timing helps us respond effectively and does not limit any mandatory legal complaint right you may have under applicable consumer law.
