TouristLine Crete
How TouristLine handles payment authorisations, capture timing, currency, refunds and on-the-day charges for Crete excursions.
When you submit a booking request, your card is authorised for the booking amount. The final charge is captured only after TouristLine accepts your booking.
When you submit a booking request, your card is pre-authorised for the booking amount. This is not a completed charge. It is a temporary hold placed by your bank or card provider.
The authorisation is captured only after TouristLine accepts your booking. Until then, the amount has not been finally charged by TouristLine.
If the booking is declined or cancelled before capture, the authorisation is released. The time for the funds to return to your available balance depends on your bank or card provider and is typically 1–7 business days.
If a booking is cancelled after payment has been captured, any approved refund is returned to the original payment method. Refund timing depends on Stripe and your bank or card provider.
Card payments are securely processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. TouristLine does not store full card numbers or CVC codes on its own servers.
All prices are displayed and charged in Euro (EUR). Where VAT or local taxes apply, they are included in the displayed price unless stated otherwise. Any additional on-site fees, such as archaeological entrance tickets, are shown on the relevant excursion page where applicable.
